Vintage Racers for Rescues, powered by Sasco Sports, is located in Blanch, NC, near the Virginia International Raceway. The organization focuses on rescuing hundreds of dogs and cats annually from shelters in rural areas of North Carolina and Virginia. These shelters face challenges of being constantly full and unfortunately have high euthanasia rates. Vintage Racers for Rescues relies heavily on their silent auction fundraisers throughout the year as the primary source of donations to cover their annual vet bills, which can soar up to $200,000.

Operating as a 501c3 non-profit, entirely run by volunteers and foster homes, Vintage Racers for Rescues does not own a facility. Each cat and dog rescued by the organization receives comprehensive vet care at one of their 7 vet partners. This care includes everything from general wellness exams, vaccinations, and spaying/neutering to more complex surgeries such as orthopedic procedures, dermatological treatments, eye surgeries, and cancer therapy.

The rescued animals are placed in foster homes where they receive love and training until the perfect forever home is found for them. Vintage Racers for Rescues has developed an app that enables users to preview, watch, and bid on items available in their silent auctions from mobile devices, tablets, or computers.
